Viewing: QuickTime

QuickTime is a proprietary system from Apple to display multimedia content.  This CD ROM uses movie clips and scenes in QTVR (QuickTime Virtual Reality) that require your browser to have the Quicktime plug-in.

The plugin for computers running Microsoft Windows is available on this CDROM in the folder "QTW"; for MacOS QuickTime is installed by default, so you should not need to take any action.  Should your operating system need a newer version, download the free QuickTime software from the Apple website at http://www.apple.com.

The QuickTime plugin will allow your web browser to display the 360-degree interactive panoramas and the movie clips.

Do I have QuickTime installed?

If you can see a picture to the right of this text, then your computer has QuickTime installed.

If you cannot see the picture, proceed with the following step.

For Macintosh systems:
you should have QuickTime
already installed.

For Windows:
make sure you have quit the web browser,
then launch the file QuickTimeInstaller.exe
that is located in the QTW folder on the CD ROM.
Then launch the browser again.

For Linux / Unix(*):
there seems to be no plug-in
at this time (2002-10-13).

(*) except Mac OS X

Should this not work, then try to download the free QuickTime software from the Apple website at http://www.apple.com.
